Privacy policy
This policy explains what information we collect when you use this website, why we collect it and what we do with it. Last updated 8/10/2026.
Who we are
This website is run by Accountants Watford, 186 St Albans Road, Watford, Hertfordshire WD24 4AS. For any question about this policy or your personal information, email [email protected].
What we collect
When you fill in our quote form or contact form, we collect the answers you give. This includes your name, email address, phone number, the type of help you need, a rough idea of your turnover or income, and anything you write in the message box. We also record the page you sent the form from and the date and time.
Our web host keeps standard server logs, which include your IP address and browser type. These are used to keep the website secure and working.
How we use your information
- To read your enquiry and match you with a suitable accountant.
- To pass your enquiry to that accountant so they can contact you and give you a quote.
- To reply to general questions you send us.
- To keep a record of enquiries in case of a query or complaint later.
We do not sell your information, and we do not add you to marketing lists.
Who we share it with
Accountants Watford works with a network of independent ACCA qualified accountants. When you send an enquiry, we share your details with the one accountant we think is best placed to help. That accountant becomes responsible for your information once they contact you, and their own privacy notice will then apply.
We also use service providers to run the website and email, such as our hosting company. They only process your information on our instructions.
Our lawful basis
We process your information because you have asked us to, so that we can respond to your enquiry. When you tick the box on our forms, you also give your consent for your details to be shared with an accountant in our network. You can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing us.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for up to 24 months, then delete them. If you ask us to delete your details sooner, we will.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and our fonts are stored on our own server rather than loaded from a third party. If we add analytics in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to how we use it and to withdraw your consent. Email [email protected] and we will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
